THE COACH/GRANDPA IS BACK. I KNEW THE CHICKEN (four-letter term for "feces" deleted) TD'S WAS GOING TO PULL OUT OF THE GAME YESTERDAY. IT DOESN'T MATTER TO ME. WE CAN RESCHEDULE WHEN JAMES COMES BACK AND IS WELL RESTED FROM HIS LONG FLIGHT.
WE NEED A NEUTRAL SOFTBALL COMMISSIONER. I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THE CAPTAINS COMMITTEE'S STUPIDITY.

ReplyDeleteBTW, the Mod Squad played their game yesterday despite being four or five players short of a full roster.
ReplyDeleteWe had two games last year we had to play shorthanded. We beat the Dream Team in one of them but the Mod Squad roughed us up pretty badly in the other. (It should be noted that the Mods played an awesome game that day and even if we had all hands on deck, they may have beaten us.)
The point is, the Mod Squad and our team battled with the players we had. We lost but it was better than not playing. That's why we carry 15-20 players per team. (Or in the case of the TSC Outlaws, maybe about 30.) When the starters can't go, you give the guys on the bench their chance to play.
With the bogus bat scandal last year and now this, we'd better not hear any of them saying they're playing just for fun. If it was just for fun, we would have played yesterday.
