The game and barbecue have been pushed back two weeks to September 11th. Also, the game time has been changed from 1:00 to 12:30. While this may have been good for the league, it certainly wasn't good for our team. We selected Lena and Gena to represent us at the all-star game and neither will be able to attend on September 11th. James has Army Reserve duty that weekend so he and his daughters won't be able to attend either. In all, the change in dates will cause us to lose nine participants including family and friends.
We will need to send alternates to the all-star game in place of Lena and Gena. Mandi, Darlene, and Tanya followed in the voting. We need to find out who among them will be available to play on September 11th.
Finally, so our all-starts don't get too rusty, we're practicing Tuesday, September 7th at Nicholl Park. We'd like to get started by 5:00. If we wait too late, the fields will be likely be taken.
It appears that Mandi will be our only female representative at the All-Star game. Nobody else has responded to any of my inquiries. Thanks for volunteering, Mandi.
