PC Bricks 10, Master Batters 6

We pulled out to a 10-2 lead with some timely hitting and fielding. Perhaps we got a little too content and comfortable with our lead because it appeared we let up. There was chatter in the dugout like the game was over in the fifth inning and we got sloppy in the field. The Master Batters, to their credit, kept plugging away and they rallied to make it close in the late innings. Luckily, we played just well enough to hold them off and earn our third straight victory.

For the most part, we played well. James pitched a great game (as usual) and our fielding was pretty solid.. Our only real deficiencies were mental. We gave away outs on the bases by not hustling and we gave away some runs on defense through unnecessary long throws and not paying attention. There were a few times when James was about to deliver a pitch and some of our players were turned around watching the other game!

Again, we're playing well in most areas of the game and we should be proud of that. The areas of underperformance can be addressed and fixed at practice. Of course, we need to get our team out on the practice field to do this. Before you get to the pictures below, I'll leave you with this thought. We play Richmond next week. They are also 3-0. If we play them the same way we played the Master Batters yesterday, Richmond will kick our butts.
